Web 2.0 Smackdown: Google Drive
Today, I present to you my Web 2.0 smackdown for webtool Google Drive.
What is Google Drive?
This seems like almost a dumb question– Everyone’s used google drive! Google Drive is a file storage web tool. It’s part of Google Suite– Google’s productivity webtools such as Docs, Sheets, G-Mail, etc. If you have a G-Mail account, you have Google Suite and by extension, Drive.
How do I use Google Drive?
I use Google Drive to store files for clients so they can retrieve them. Drive has your files private by default unless you share them– I use this feature to share files and store them. While I can’t show you the extent of what I have on here, I hope this video demonstrates the navigation and ease of use for this application.

Hello, Shaun!
ReplyDeleteI disagree that everyone has sussed it, just because there's generations older than us I know 3are not familiar. I do agree with how many things google drive provides, which I think is amazing that it's free. I do feel as though that amount of storage is so much. I have had my google drive account for years and have barely made a dent in its space and storage (as a student). I believe it is amazing for students (but may not suit everyone's needs). It seems as though you are using it for larger needs, therefore it may not support that being a free site. Ssecifically, I'm referring to the videos being they take up so much more space.
Hi Shaun. I absolutely love Google Drive. It has come in handy for me more times than I can count. I love how everything that comes with Google Suite and Google Drive is intertwined, for example with Docs, Sheets, G-Mail, etc. I also use Google Drive to store many of my files, mostly for school and assignments. I can always count on Google Drive to keep my files safe and always in the same spot. I never have to worry about losing my files when I put them in my drive. I like how you mentioned the share feature because that also definitely comes in handy, especially for collaborative purposes. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Shaun, great job on your smackdown! Google Drive is by far one of the most useful web tools I have ever used. You can do almost anything with it and it is incredibly useful for anyone and everyone from students to professionals.
ReplyDeleteHi Shaun, I really enjoyed how you gave us a navigation through the app in case for people that may not have used this app before. I have use google drive for as long as I can remember and it has never failed me. I believe it would be very beneficial in my career field so I would be able to store cases digitally. Great presentation!
ReplyDeleteHi Shaun.
ReplyDeleteI live on Google Drive. I love how everything included on Google Suite appears in the drive. I also use Google Drive to share many of my files, mostly for club board members. I never have to worry about losing my files when I put them in my drive. Great job!
Shaun,
ReplyDeleteI think Google Drive is a great tool. I like to use Google drive to save pictures and even documents from my child's school. I also utilize Google drive in my classroom as it helps to stay organized. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hello Shaun,
ReplyDeleteGoogle drive is a great choice. I like that the Business version of the drive gives you're more storage space. It's a great resource to move important data to certain workspaces.
